Andria Lea is an American paragliding pilot, multimedia journalist, television host, and entertainment reporter. Originally from the Midwest, she's lived all over the United States, and in the beautiful Bavarian region of Germany.

PARAGLIDING

Andria started paragliding in 2016 and has since flown and competed all over the United States. She's an USHPA certified tandem instructor and has flown commercial tandems with Chicago Paragliding since 2018. Andria is also the owner/lead tandem pilot at Saint Louis Paragliding, and has been a Triple Seven Paragliders Team Pilot since 2019 (pilot bio).

 

She currently holds the women's paragliding open distance record for Illinois (138 miles/221 km) and Minnesota (100.5 miles/163 km), becoming the first woman to fly more than 100 miles on a paraglider in MN. ​

MODELING & TELEVISION

Andria has appeared in over 35 national and international magazines. Some notable features include MAXIM (US and Mexico editions), Transworld Surf, STAR, Supermodels Unlimited, MAX Sports & Fitness, and Gladys Magazine. In 2007 and 2008, she worked on location in Spain and Mexico with ExtraTV 42, Televisa, Mapache, TV Azteca, Prensa Television, and Bennett Productions during her experiences as a competitor at Ujena Bikini Jams and the Miss Freestyle Fitness Competition.

 

Modeling led Andria to the television industry. In 2007, she created a YouTube series called "Escapades with Andria Lea," which shared her extreme travel adventures. The following year, Andria started a media and video production company called Monteleone MediaWorks, LLC. 

 

From 2007-2009, Andria Lea worked as a nightlife/entertainment reporter and co-host on "Kansas City After Hours," a late night entertainment talk show airing on KCTV5, the local CBS affiliate. She hosted and emceed the first ever Kansas City Fashion Week in 2009. While living on Oahu, Andria had recurring guest host appearances on "Hawaii's Reel Stories" (OC16TV), a series that spotlighted the local film and television industry in Hawaii. On "Barskool: Hawaii" (2011), she introduced viewers to the most unique and popular cocktails the islands have to offer.

 

From 2013-2014, Andria Lea was the "Face of FOX43" for the FOX affiliate in Norfolk, Virginia. During this time, she represented the station throughout the community and on-air as their dedicated entertainment reporter. Andria wrote and hosted a weekly segment that aired in the evening newscast, as well as produced video packages for web, news, PSAs, and "The Hampton Roads Show." Her talents also extended to radio with weekly feature segments on HOT 100.5 (Max Media), 103 JAMZ, NOW 105, and Movin 107.7 (Clear Channel Communications). A typical day would be spent interviewing celebrities, managing social media, blogging, helping create and execute station promotions, emceeing events, and making public appearances throughout the seven-city region of Hampton Roads. During her year as the "Face of FOX," Andria attended and covered over 70 events. She also appeared in more than 100 on-air FOX43 promos and several national FOX promos. Andria was one of only five FOX affiliate reps chosen nationwide to cover the "24: Live Another Day" red carpet premiere in NYC, interviewing the cast and crew alongside the biggest entertainment news outlets in the country.

 

Some of Andria's celebrity interviews include Kevin Bacon, Kiefer Sutherland, Terry Crews, Wendy Williams, Nigel Lythgoe, Mary Murphy, Ramon Rodriguez, RZA, Phillip Phillips, Lonestar, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Benjamin Bratt, the cast and crew of "24: Live Another Day," the American Idol Season XIII Top 10 finalists, and many more.

While living abroad in Germany, she created two more video series called "Passports, Pretzels, & Palaces" and "All Roads Lead To Adventure." Andria takes viewers throughout Europe and beyond to share experiences, travel tips, resources, and a fresh perspective on popular destinations and adventures.

FUN FACTS

• ​Andria is a Registered Nurse with many years of ICU critical care experience all over the US. 

• ​She's also a certified scuba diver who enjoys snowboarding, standup paddle boarding, and surfing. Swimming with sharks, skydiving, and flying a jet pack are just a few more things she's crossed off the bucket list.

• ​Visited 20 countries and counting! 

• With a lifelong passion for animals, Andria has personally rescued and found homes for over 75 stray cats & dogs. She advocates for prevention of animal abuse, protection of endangered species, the importance of adopting from shelters, and spaying/neutering.
